The International Seminar on Community Development (SAPKO) is being organised by the Faculty of Social Development, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu in collaboration with Institut Sosial Malaysia (ISM). This seminar aims to identify issues affecting the community today at the national and global level as well as to provide an avenue for information sharing among experts, researchers, lecturers, administrators and the community at large. The active involvement of local communities in carrying out programmes to overcome existing problems will certainly contribute to the development of the communities.
OBJECTIVE
- To provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge on current global issues and problems of the community.
- To deliberate on the ways to overcome current social problems and enhance the quality of life in the community.
- To encourage the community to be more responsible and cooperative in improving the welfare and development of the community.
